Why is my church banned from performing gay marriages it beieves in don't we have a 1st amendment?
The first amendment of the constitution guarantees freedom of religion, and yet my church that believes in same-sex marriage is banned from performing marriage ceremonies.

Democrats play to LBGT people as part of their "base" but then fail to prioritize basic civil rights legislation.

Until health care is universal, treat workplace benefits for Domestic Partners the same as spouses.
Right now, opposite sex spouses get tax breakes on workplace offered health insurance. If an employer is generous enough to offer health insurance to same-sex partners of employees, the IRS doesn't recognize those partners as a legal dependent, because of DOMA, and therefore subjects the benefit... more

Can Dems persuade the dozen or so homophobic Blue Dogs that bigotry has no place in Congress?
All 14 Democrats who joined the GOP to oppose hate crime legislation in this session were Blue Dogs. The Blue Dogs claim they're for fiscal responsibility but they sure seem to harbor a lot of rotten bigots.
