There's no question that Americans need a public health insurance option in order to be able to afford quality health care. It's been shown that there are many links between oral conditions (such as gum disease) and conditions such as heart disease and diabetes. In the long run, having affordable dental coverage, and thus access to dental care, to treat such conditions such as gum disease, can actually result in healthier people overall.
